Teletubbies is a British children’s television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport. It is about four cute characters, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po, who play around, dance, and sing as they go about their days in a scenic Teletubbyland while an adorable and baby-faced sun interacts with them. The first episode of Teletubbies aired in 1997, which many children around the world enjoyed.

The show ended in 2001, but a rebooted series premiered on CBeebies and Nick Jr. in 2014. The re-run of the original 1997 to 2001 series is continuously shown on television channels and other social media platforms.

The album contains 10 songs, including the title track Ready, Steady, Go! and Peekaboo, which will double drop on September 25! It is supported by music videos that can be viewed exclusively on the official WildBrain Spark Teletubbies channel on YouTube.

Meanwhile, the music videos for the remaining eight singles, consisting of future hits like Safari Party, will air every Saturday morning throughout November. (Read: WATCH: Steve From Blue’s Clues Returns To Show, Leaves The Internet Sobbing)

According to WildBrains, the company behind the Teletubbies, each song on the album aims to not only get kids up and dancing but to spread positivity, joy, and inclusion as well.

The accompanying music video also promises to bring families uplifting, positive, and fun music that even parents would love to dance to.

Chart battle

WildBrain also said that the new Teletubbies album would see the group go head-to-head with Coldplay, who will release their ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres, on October 15.

It is also set to reawaken the much-publicized UK chart battle against the Spice Girls, who will release Spice25, a greatest hits compilation marking their own 25th anniversary, on October 29.

“The Spice Girls’ hit ‘Girl Power’ famously stole the coveted Christmas No. 1 spot in 1997 from the Teletubbies after their pop anthem ‘Teletubbies say “Eh-oh!” had held the spot for two weeks running,” WildBrain stated in a press release.
