TikTok’s ‘Negosyo Mo Na Yan’ Campaign Helps More Filipinos Start Their Own Business

To help more Filipinos cope financially with the struggles due to the pandemic, TikTok recently launched the “Negosyo Mo Na Yan” campaign. Centered around food-related businesses, the campaign will help aspiring entrepreneurs to jumpstart their own food business.

In comfort of their homes, local and aspiring business-owners will have a chance to learn business strategies and tips from some of the country’s food business owners.

‘Negosyo Week’

The first part of the campaign already began yesterday, September 27, and will run until October 23 via TikTok live. Those who will participate will be treated to a series of two-hour masterclasses from different TikTok partners. Speakers include representatives from Gcash, Puregold, Abenson, Canva, When In Manila Food, and Globe.

There will be helpful tips on how to start a business during the pandemic, grocery hacks for the food business, and how to find suitable appliances for your business. The partner speakers will also discuss digital marketing tools to guide local entrepreneurs in promoting their businesses. (Read: 3 Ways You Can Help Small Businesses Without Paying Out)

Aside from the lessons, the campaign will also have the #NegosyoRecipe challenge. From October 4 to 21, viewers can win amazing prizes, including appliances and tools that can help them start their businesses. (Read: 7 Strategies Food Business Owners Can Get From Grab PH’s Food Trends Report)

To join, users need to upload their best recipe videos on TikTok using the hashtag #NegosyoRecipe. TikTok will then select 10 creators, from among all the participants, who will move on to the next round.

Shortlisted creators will be given an exclusive chance to develop their “negosyo ideas” and improve their business models through 1-on-1 mentoring sessions. The challenge will begin with a business pitch, where the final 10 creators will present their ideas to a panel of judges composed of respected entrepreneurs and experts from the food industry, namely RJ Ledesma of Mercato Group, celebrity chef Marvin Agustin, and Mark del Rosario of Let’s Eat Pare.

The three creators with the most promising business ideas will be awarded. Along with the business-building tools, one grand winner will be entitled to a six-month mentorship with Marvin Agustin, including a spot in his cloud kitchen, The Secret Kitchen.
