Eggluck Jeepney-Food Truck Brings Egg Drop Sandwiches To The North

Newly-opened cafes and food stalls are popping up everywhere, but this Eggluck food truck has an inspiring story and mouth-watering food to share!

Former flight attendant Angel Luck Pedro was retrenched from an international airline due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon returning to her hometown in Ilocos Norte, she decided to establish her own business called Eggluck– a jeepney-turned-food truck that roams around Ilocos Norte. It even sometimes parks at specific locations for those who want to sit down and chill!

Inspired by food trucks in South Korea and Los Angeles, Angel decided to come up with a Pinoy version food truck and bring it closer to her hometown. Since egg drop sandwiches has become one of the popular K-drama staples these days, she created her own recipe along with her deaf and mute brother, Alan Joshua Pedro IV, who has a passion for cooking.

Because of the ingenious idea, Angel’s Eggluck food truck went viral. Many netizens were amazed with its cool and unique concept, which also highlights the importance of jeepneys in the country. (Read: Chemical Engineers Start Online Baking Business Amid Pandemic)
