Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Miss IKEA’s 24-Hour Virtual Festival

Swedish furniture giant IKEA is hosting its first-ever 24-hour virtual event dubbed IKEA Festival, which started on September 16 at 2 p.m. It showcases a home tour and live musical performances that can be accessed online and via live streams without any fee or registration.

The IKEA Festival is taking place in over 100 homes in more than 50 markets globally. It features artists, DJs, creators, designers, chefs, and other talents worldwide who turned their own homes, living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and backyards into virtual stages for live performances and discussions.

Another highlight of the festival is the different room settings “reflecting what people say is most important to them in their homes today,” such as family, friends, music, food, and discussions on current topics. (Read: Finally! Ikea shares the secret recipe for their *famous* meatballs)

IKEA Philippines

Aside from the IKEA Festival, IKEA put up a billboard featuring more than 1,000 Filipino families along Edsa Magallanes. It is a collage of the many lives at home stories of Filipinos shared with IKEA in June.

And if you haven’t heard yet, IKEA launched a pop-up at SM Mall of Asia, which runs from September 16 to 19. Visitors can take a look at sample home set up, furniture, and other home decors and sit on chairs and beds.

The opening of IKEA Philippines is slated this fourth quarter. For updates, check out IKEA’s official website and Facebook page.
