RECAP: TV Series Fans, Here’s What You Might Have Missed This Week!

We’re just halfway through the week, and we’ve already been seeing lots of entertainment news on our social media timelines and on news outlets’ websites. Miss Universe preliminary interviews, the Squid Game hype, Kris Bernal getting married, and BIGBANG’s Taeyang expecting his first child are just some of the headlines we’ve seen in the past few days.

But apart from these, there are even bigger reports that came this week–specifically in the world of TV series. What are these news you may ask? Entertainment Updates: Pretty Little Liars Reboot

HBO is making a reboot of the popular thriller drama series Pretty Little Liars for its streaming platform, HBO Max. Called “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”, the reboot is the fourth installment in the Pretty Little Liars Series. While this is already great news, especially to fans of the entire series, an even bigger news is that Lea Salonga has been cast for a regular role! According to reports, she will be playing Elodie, the mother of Minnie, played by Malia Pyles. Another actress cast in the show is Sharon Leal, who is Filipino-American. She will be playing Sidney, mother of Chandler Kinney’s character, Tabby.

Entertainment Updates: Sex Education Season 4

The third season of the coming-of-age Netflix series, Sex Education, just dropped on the streaming platform on September 17. It easily reached the Top 10 shows list in the Philippines, and stayed there for at least a week. And because of the good feedback the show has received, Netflix has decided to renew the show for a fourth season! Entertainment Updates: KathNiel Comeback

Fans of the reel and real life couple KathNiel–Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla–rejoice! The loveteam of 10 years will be making a teleserye comeback after four years of not being in one. They will be starring in a romcom entitled “Too Good To Be True“, directed by Mae Cruz who also worked with them in “Crazy Beautiful You” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love”. According to reports, filming will start in October. No news yet of when it will be launched.
