LOOK: Apple Unveils 4 Models of iPhone 13, iPad, Watch Series With New Amazing Features

In case you missed it, tech-giant Apple just unveiled its newest iPhone 13, consisting of four different models: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. 

Apple fans will be glad to know that the iPhone 13 has more updated and exciting features such as a 120Hz refresh rate, 1TB storage option, a triple-camera system, and more. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini

Hopping on the colorful trend of smartphones, the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini is available in five colors: pink, blue, midnight, starlight, and red. The phones also run on the A15 Bionic chip and feature longer-lasting batteries.

Both models feature major innovations, including the dual-camera system with a new wide camera with bigger pixels and sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS). This dramatically improves low-light photos and videos. Apple also designed a new way to personalize the camera with Photographic Styles; and Cinematic mode, which brings a new dimension to video storytelling. 

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini also feature a brighter Super Retina XDR display, double the entry-level storage at 128GB, IP68 rating for water resistance, advanced 5G experience, and Ceramic Shield front cover.

If you’re planning to cop the phones, the iPhone 13 mini starts at $699 (approximately P34,808) for 128 GB and the iPhone 13 costs $799 (approximately P39,787) starting with 128 GB.

Meanwhile, Apple has retained the Pro and Pro Max variant with the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, respectively. These have the same A15 Bionic chip as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, but feature a five-core CPU, promising 50% faster graphics that are suitable for many gamers. It comes in graphite, gold, silver, and sierra blue.

Both models introduce an all-new Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion featuring an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, making the touch experience faster and more responsive. The pro camera system gets its biggest advancement ever with new Ultra Wide, Wide, and Telephoto cameras that capture stunning photos and video, powered by A15 Bionic.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also include 5G with more bands for better coverage, big improvements to battery life, a new storage capacity of 1TB, and the Ceramic Shield front cover. (Read: New iPhone 12 Series Will Not Include Earphones, Charging Bricks)

The iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999 (approximately PHP 49,747) while the iPhone 13 Pro Max costs $1,099 (approximately PHP 54,726).

iPad and iPad Mini

Another big product reveal is the latest version of iPad and iPad Mini. The 10.2-inch iPad features a powerful A13 chip with 20% faster performance than the previous model. 

It also has an updated 12 megapixels camera with Center Stage, which uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing camera during video calls, and more accessory support that works with the first-generation Apple Pencil. It costs $329 (approximately P16,383) for 64GB storage.

Meanwhile, the 8.3-inch iPad mini comes with smaller bezels, more rounded corners, upgraded cameras on the front and back, Apple’s Liquid Retina display, USB-C support, magnetic support for Apple Pencil, and an updated speaker system. It also features a lock button built with Touch ID, A15 Bionic chip, and 5G connectivity.

Watch Series 7

Built with the new and improved WatchOS 8, the new Watch Series 7 has a display that is 20% larger than the Series 6. It can display 50% more text and has a full keyboard that you can tap or swipe to type out text messages, perfect for bikers. The always-on display has been upgraded to be 70% brighter indoors as well.

It also has increased durability with a 50% thicker crystal cover and dust resistance. Plus, it includes automatic detection when a ride starts and if the rider falls off.
