‘Musickwela’ Concert Raises Funds For Remote Public Schools

It’s no secret that schools, especially public schools, that are located in far-flung and remote areas with limited accessibility are often neglected. These schools usually lack supplies like books, notebooks, pencils, and other school supplies needed by students. And of course, both teachers and students often don’t have access to technology and gadgets like laptops and desktops, which are of huge help nowadays.

That is why the National Youth Empowerment Circle (NYEC) has decided to hold a fundraising and benefit concert on September 25, Saturday, for select remote public schools around the country. Called “Musickwela”, the event is part of the Youth Empowerment Summit 2021 celebration with the theme “Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders through Advocacy Projects.” (Read: Music School That Gives Free Voice Lessons To Underprivileged Kids Closes Down Due To The Pandemic)

Free of charge

And the good news is the benefit concert is free of charge! Interested individuals will just have to register through a dedicated Google form (click here to be redirected) and fill out all the necessary details.

While the event itself is free of charge, donation channels are available for all those who would like to give monetary donations to the organization. All donations received through the event will be used to purchase school supplies for the chosen remote public schools. (Read: 3 Prayers for Students in Homeschool)

Artists who will be lending their time and talent for this great cause are from the country’s new breed of artists–mostly youth–who also want to encourage change for the better through music!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars: September 25, Saturday. You may also follow NYEC on their official social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) for more details and updates about the benefit concert.
